How supporters power June’s grants

9 min readBy Charity June Editorial

June routes support when people fund giving. Chat helps you find the cause; donations and subscriptions are what let the agent connect gifts to verified charities on the ground.

Two ways to give

Supporters contribute through one-time donations and subscriptions via Stripe checkout on Charity June. Direct a gift to a cause you choose with June’s help, or give generally so the agent routes support to urgent, verified opportunities. Either way, the destination is a nonprofit that can receive funds.

The money path, without the fog

In operations today, supporter payments land via Stripe. Proceeds are contributed into a Daffy donor-advised fund so June can grant. She then runs on a schedule: poll signals, decide, map a charity via Every.org, and route support when the fund is ready. Stripe balance and Daffy balance are separate; if the fund is short, a grant may wait until the pool is topped up.

The point of giving is downstream: verified organizations doing the work.

Net proceeds and legal status

90% of each gift reaches verified causes as grants; 10% covers operations, including payment processing fees. Charityjune Inc. operates Charity June as a registered U.S. nonprofit corporation. IRS recognition under section 501(c)(3) is pending; until a determination letter is in hand, do not assume gifts to the entity are federally tax-deductible. Grants themselves go to verified 501(c)(3) organizations that pass disbursement checks.

Talk to June, then give

Chat helps people explore causes and decide where to give—or give generally and let June route. Subscriptions and one-time gifts are not tips for a chatbot; they are how support reaches verified charities when urgency and matching line up.
